creation of a multifunctional hall for the aco ( iron casting factory ) in kaiserslautern.

the design concept converts the logo of the aco into 3 monumental pillars, which represent the awk and organize the hall in an opticaly, spacially and usefull way, into different areas.
in the middle of the room we have the 3 pillars which carry the plattform ( 2nd floor – meeting and buisness area ) – for the counterpart we have the coffee area located below with bar, embedded into the ground/floor and therfore clearly definded as a seperate area.
around it there is space for exhibitions when needed or wanted.
to reach the 2nd floor or the pillars with their store rooms there is an independant, individual staircase as an extra architectural element in the hall.
